Looks like Symantec is putting more than rebranded Vertias behind their Data Center Foundation with it’s just-announced acquisition of Altiris. Chasing the trend that CIOs want fewer vendors. But will the market buy Symantec’s spin that systems management is but a subset of security? How will Altiris customers feel about this?
