NBC Universal shacks up with SanDisk, video content now on Fanfare

I almost feel like I’m missing something here, like Steve Jobs poured some bad cream in NBC’s coffee. First they completely pull out of the iTunes music store completely, now they’re shacking up with every company outside of Apple, disregarding their market share or anything. I personally have never seen a “Sansa” in the wild, and from all indications their market penetration pales in comparison to that of the iPod and iPhone. The first moves by NBC against Apple could be chalked up as business related, but their efforts to court the Sansa and pass on the iPod leads me to think it’s beyond business, it’s personal.
