Recently we launched our Submit a Tip contest challenging our community to share their experience successfully using Zenoss. This effort has resulted in the creation of over fifteen new tips on the Zenoss Wiki.

Thanks to all of you who have submitted your Zenoss trade secrets. The contest ends on April 15th so hurry for a chance to win the AsusEee laptop and to help out your fellow Zenoss users.

Tip of the Month: Restarting Windows Services with Zenoss

Zenoss Client Services Engineer Simon Jakesch wasn’t going to be outdone by our users (after all he’s a professional Zenoss support guy) so he pulled out all the stops and wrote this excellent tip for restarting Windows Services with Zenoss Core. We met a lot of great people and our development team had a great time hanging out with their Python brethren at PyCon 2008. We also conducted a survey on what Python technologies the PyCon attendees were using and whether or not they were monitoring their software.
